edgeX Fees (2026): What the Docs Publish and Omit
Mechanics verified against official edgeX docs on 2026-09-09. No maker or taker rate is quoted on this page, because none is published there.
Most perp DEXs publish a base maker and taker rate and a ladder above it. edgeX publishes the ladder's shape and not its rungs. This page sets out exactly what the documentation states about trading fees, gas and funding, and marks clearly where the number a reader wants sits behind the app's sign-in.
Trading fees: a tier system without a published table
Per the trading-fees page, "the trading fees on edgeX are determined by the rolling traded volume over the past 30 days, with updates occurring daily at 00:00 (UTC)". The same page states that "the volume from sub-accounts is aggregated with the main account, ensuring that all sub-accounts benefit from the same fee tier", so splitting activity across the twenty trading accounts a wallet may hold does not fragment your tier. For the rates at each tier, the docs say only: "for comprehensive information on VIP trading fees, please visit the VIP page on our website" — a view inside the app.
This site does not reproduce a schedule it has not read on an official page. The app's order panel does render a fee rate once you are signed in, but a rendered figure can depend on the account viewing it and is not a published schedule, so it is not quoted here as one. If you want to compare edgeX on cost against the venues that do publish rates, the fee comparison lists edgeX with "not published" beside the eleven others, and the execution-cost tool can still measure slippage where a venue publishes its order book.
Gas
"Regarding gas fees for trade settlements, edgeX V1 will cover the gas costs on behalf of users." Deposits are different: the docs state the platform "does not charge any deposit fees" and that users pay only the underlying chain's gas, so a wallet deposit on Ethereum needs ETH for gas alongside the USDT being deposited.
Funding
The funding-fees page states that "funding fees are exchanged every hour between holders of long and short positions", peer to peer, and describes the rate as an interest-rate component plus a premium component with "a +/−0.05% dampener" added. The formula on that page is written for an N-hour interval, and the app shows each market's own interval on its order panel — on the verification date the BTC market displayed a four-hour figure — so treat the interval as a per-market setting and read it from the market you trade. The cross-venue funding screener does not include edgeX, because it publishes no CORS-open funding endpoint this site has verified.
Withdrawal fees
"For ETH standard withdrawals, users just need to cover the gas fees themselves. For non-ETH withdrawals, a cross-chain withdrawal fee of 0.1% applies, with a minimum fee of 1 USD." Withdrawal chains and timings are on the how-to-start page.
Discounts
No token-staking or referral fee discount is published in the docs. A referral programme is listed in the app's navigation, but its terms were not extractable from an official page on the verification date, so nothing about it is stated here. EDGE's documented utilities are governance and validator staking, not a fee tier.
FAQ
What is edgeX’s taker fee?
Not published in the documentation. The docs describe a volume-tier system and refer readers to a VIP page inside the app; this site quotes rates only from official pages it has read.
Do sub-accounts pay different fees?
No. Their volume aggregates with the main account, so every sub-account shares one tier, per the docs.
How often is funding paid?
The mechanism page says hourly; the app shows a per-market interval. Read the interval on the market's order panel before holding a position over a settlement.
