How to Start on Vest Markets (2026): USDC Guide
Mechanics verified against official Vest docs on 2026-09-30.
Perpetual futures are leveraged instruments and can lose your whole deposit quickly. Vest uses cross margin only, prices liquidations from the last trade, and has rolled its platform back once after a pricing bug. Read the risk disclosure and the review first. Vest's Terms prohibit China (including Hong Kong and Macao), Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Russia, Syria, the United Kingdom and the United States, and bar using a VPN to get around them. If that is you, stop here — this guide does not cover access workarounds.
Create an account
Sign up with email, Google or a wallet. Vest uses Privy for account creation, "ensuring users retain full custody over their funds". To buy a Vest Capital funded account you need email or Google: "If you sign up via wallet connection only, you will not be able to access or purchase Vest Capital plans."
Deposit USDC
"Vest accounts are funded with USDC." Email accounts can use the Coinbase onramp (Apple Pay, card or a Coinbase balance) or send USDC directly, but "Base is the only supported network for direct USDC transfers on email accounts." Wallet accounts fund by USDC transfer from the connected wallet on a supported chain. Sending on the wrong network can lose the funds.
Understand margin and leverage
Every position shares one cross-margin account; "isolated margin is not currently available". Your leverage is total notional divided by portfolio value, so each new trade changes the leverage of the whole account. Maximum leverage varies by market, "up to 50x" in the docs.
Place an order and mind the hours
Check the fee on the market page before trading: stocks are free in US hours and cost 0.05% overnight, crypto costs 0.01% to open or close. From Friday 8 PM EST "no new positions can be opened on non-crypto markets" until Sunday evening; open positions stay open through the weekend and are exposed to the reopen. See the fees page.
Withdraw
Choose a network, enter the recipient address and amount, and confirm; "withdrawals are a minimum of $1". Withdrawing to an exchange such as Coinbase lets you move funds to a bank account.
